Mark S. Rivera, MPH, principal, and founder of MCC has been a health care business specialist since 1974 when he began employment with the largest group model HMO in the United States, Kaiser Permanente. Mr. Rivera’s post-graduate employment has included executive positions with such organizations as CalOPTIMA, Adventist Health/Pacific Integrated Health, Hoag Hospital, John Hancock and Capp Care. His unique blend of experience in privately held managed care enterprises and public health agencies has laid the groundwork for success with both local and national healthcare organizations.
In 1996 Mr. Rivera founded MCC (Managed Care Consulting, Inc.). MCC brings seasoned professionals to engage in small to large-scale healthcare projects including planning, analysis, and research both nationally and internationally. This has included such organizations as the Molina Healthcare, HRSA (Health Resources and Services Administration), the CMS (Centers for Medicare and Medicaid), the CDCR (California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation) and the SILC (State Independent Living Council).
As a national speaker and consultant, Mr. Rivera specializes in provider networks, performance improvement, and advanced analytics with a strategic focus.
